Classwork Suspended in Kashmir Division on April 21 Due to Inclement Weather

In light of the prevailing inclement weather conditions and in the interest of student safety, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri (IAS), has issued an official order directing the suspension of classwork in all Government and Private Schools across the Kashmir Division for April 21, 2025.

As per the order, although schools shall remain closed for students, all teaching and non-teaching staff are required to attend their duties as usual.

This precautionary measure has been taken to prevent any inconvenience or risk to students due to severe weather conditions. The order applies to all districts falling under the Kashmir Division.

Reinforcing the same, former minister Sakina Itoo also posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), stating:

> “In light of the continuing severe weather conditions and forecasts, it has been decided that classwork in all schools of the valley shall remain suspended for one day tomorrow (21st April). This decision has been taken as a precautionary step to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.”

Authorities have advised parents and guardians to stay updated through official channels for any further instructions.
