The Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations at the University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar, has announced the upcoming admission notification for PG, Integrated UG & PG, and other programs (Professional and Non-Professional) for the academic session 2025. Aspirants interested in various courses offered by the University are advised to prepare the necessary documents and stay updated with the upcoming notifications.
Required Documents:
Applicants must have the following certificates ready:
•Marks Certificates of the Qualifying Examination
•Domicile Certificate
•Date of Birth Certificate
•Character Certificate
•Provisional Certificate
•Reserved Category Certificate (if applicable)
Note: Certificates under process will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Sports Category:
Candidates applying under the Sports Category must contact the Director of Physical Education and Sports at the University of Kashmir. They need to present original International/National/UT-level Sports Certificates for verification and issuance of a Sports Category Certificate. The certificate issued after proper verification within the stipulated date and time will be the only valid document for admission under this category.
Admission Based on National Level Tests:
Admission to the following programs will be based on national-level tests as per the specified agencies:
1. MBA/MBA (Financial Management) / MBA (Craft Management & Entrepreneurship) – CMAT
2. M.Sc Biotechnology – GAT-B
3. M.Tech – GATE
4. M.Pharm – GPAT
5. B.Tech – JEE (Main) (Best of Two)
6. IMBA (BBA-MBA) – UGAT
7. B.Pharm – JKBOPEE
Note: If seats remain vacant, the University will conduct an entrance test, and a separate notification will be issued accordingly.
KU Entrance Test:
Admission to other programs will be based on an entrance test conducted by the University of Kashmir. The date sheet for the entrance test will be notified shortly.
Admission Schedule:
Admission to 12 Programs (offered on a 12th basis) will commence in April 2025.
Admission for 56 Programs (on the basis of graduation) will begin in June 2025.
Exit Option for 4-Year UG Program Candidates:
Students admitted under the NEP-2020 in 2022 who wish to exit the program are advised to do so only after securing a seat for a Master's program at the University of Kashmir.
