Anticipated Light Rain and Snow Expected in Jammu & Kashmir Post April 10 Evening: MeT Forecasts


 

Srinagar, April 8 (GNS): The meteorological department has predicted predominantly dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours, with the likelihood of light rain and snow at various locations by the evening of April 10. A meteorological official conveyed to GNS that until April 9, the weather is anticipated to remain generally dry.


"On April 10, expect partly to generally cloudy weather conditions with the possibility of light rain/snow in higher altitudes at numerous places by the evening," the official stated.


Between April 11-12, the forecast indicates partly to generally cloudy skies with light rain/snowfall expected at a few locations, mainly in higher elevations.


"From April 13-15, generally cloudy skies are projected, accompanied by light to moderate rain/snowfall in higher reaches, along with potential thunder, lightning, hailstorm, and gusty winds at select locations," the official added.


As for temperatures, Srinagar reported a minimum of 5.8°C, Qazigund 2.6°C, Pahalgam 0.2°C, Kokernag 4.5°C, Kupwara 3.6°C, Gulmarg 0.0°C, Jammu 17.0°C, Banihal 4.8°C, Batote 8.5°C, and Bhaderwah 4.0°C. (GNS)
