Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNO): In response to ongoing harsh weather conditions, the government is considering extending winter vacations for schools in the Kashmir division until March 5.
In an exclusive interview with the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced that a crucial meeting will be held tomorrow to discuss the matter.
"Considering the current weather situation, we will hold a meeting tomorrow to evaluate the possibility of extending winter vacations for schools in the Kashmir division," Itoo stated.
The minister emphasized that the health and safety of students are top priorities, and any decision will be made with their well-being in mind.
"If the weather does not improve, we may extend the vacation by five days for primary classes. In the event of further snowfall, we could extend the holiday period until March 5 for all grade levels," she added.—(KNO)
