Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced an extension for the submission of application forms for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) Examination 2024-25. The new deadline for submission is 20th February 2025.
Important Details
1. The extension applies to Class VIII students of government schools eligible for the scholarship.
2. All Chief Education Officers (DNOs) are instructed to collect the completed application forms, along with requisite documents and data, and submit them to the CDR Wing at JKBOSE’s New Campus, Bemina, Srinagar, or Rehari Colony, Jammu-Tawi within seven days of the new closing date.
Awareness and Participation:
The Directorate of School Education in Jammu and Kashmir has been requested to create widespread awareness among eligible students to ensure maximum participation in the NMMSS examination.
Steps to Apply for NMMS Examination 2024-25:
1. Check Eligibility:
Ensure you are a Class VIII student in a government school.
Confirm you meet the criteria for family income and academic performance.
2. Collect Application Form:
Obtain the NMMS application form from your school, Chief Education Officer (CEO), or download it from the official JKBOSE website.Click Here Download Form
3. Fill Out the Form:
Carefully fill in the required details, including personal, academic, and family information.
Attach the necessary documents, such as:
Income certificate.
Caste certificate (if applicable).
Previous academic performance report
4. Attach Passport-Sized Photo:
Paste a recent passport-sized photograph in the designated space on the form.
5. Get the Form Verified:
Submit the completed form to your school for verification by the Headmaster or Principal.
6. Submit to the CEO Office:
Submit the verified form to the Chief Education Officer (DNO) of your district.
7. Track Submission:
Ensure the CEO Office forwards the form along with required documents and data to the CDR Wing, JKBOSE New Campus, Bemina (Srinagar) or Rehari Colony (Jammu-Tawi).
8. Keep Acknowledgment:
Keep a copy of your application form and acknowledgment receipt for future reference.
