JKBOSE Announces Marks Distribution and Passing Criteria for Class 12 (2024-25) Examination

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has officially released the Marks Distribution Scheme for the upcoming Class 12 Annual (Regular) Examination 2025. The new guidelines highlight the minimum and maximum passing marks for students in different streams, including Humanities, Science, Home Science, and Commerce.

According to the board's regulations, the passing percentage for General English has been set at 33%. For the remaining four elective subjects, the minimum passing marks required is 36%. This applies to all students, irrespective of their chosen stream.

For students opting for subjects with practical examinations, the criteria are slightly more stringent. To pass in such subjects, students must secure at least 36% marks in both theory and practical exams. This includes marks obtained in the practical tests, internal assessments, and the combined aggregate of theory and practicals.

The JKBOSE has emphasized that these changes are in line with the board's ongoing efforts to maintain academic rigor while ensuring students meet the required standards for graduation.
