Government Announces Winter Vacation Schedule for Schools in Kashmir Division and Winter Zones of Jammu Division
The School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a government order (No. 521-JK (Edu) of 2024, dated 06.12.2024) regarding the winter vacation schedule for all government and recognized private schools in Kashmir Division and the winter zones of Jammu Division.
Vacation Schedule:
For Classes up to 5th (Primary):
Winter vacation will begin on 10th December 2024 and end on 28th February 2025.
For Classes 6th to 12th:
Winter vacation will start on 16th December 2024 and conclude on 28th February 2025.

Additional Instructions:
1. Teaching Staff Availability:
Teaching staff of high and higher secondary schools must report to their respective headquarters from 10th February 2025 onwards to prepare for board examinations of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th.
2. Online Guidance:
Teachers are required to remain available to provide online guidance to students during the vacation period.
3. Strict Compliance:
Heads of institutions and teaching staff are instructed to strictly adhere to the schedule. Non-compliance will result in strict action under the rules.
