Srinagar, December 3, 2024:
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has proposed the winter vacation schedule for schools across the Kashmir Valley, citing severe weather conditions, including cold waves and dense fog.
According to the proposal submitted to the Principal Secretary, School Education Department, the winter vacation will be divided into two phases:
1. Classes up to 2nd Primary:
Vacation from December 9, 2024, to February 24, 2025.
2. Classes from 3rd Primary to 12th Standard:
Vacation from December 16, 2024, to February 24, 2025.
The proposal highlights the necessity of these vacations to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the harsh winter months. The Directorate has forwarded this proposal for further review and necessary approval.
The education authorities are expected to issue the final orders soon, ensuring all schools in the region adhere to the proposed schedule.
