Ashoka University’s Lodha Genius STEM Scholarship Expands in J&K with Support from Samagra Shiksha and Samiksha App

Srinagar, December 7: In a bid to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education across Jammu and Kashmir, Ashoka University’s Lodha Genius STEM Scholarship Program is now accessible through the Samiksha App. The initiative, a fully funded scholarship program, offers academic support, mentorship, immersive STEM courses, and exclusive internship opportunities for deserving students.

Facilitated by the Greenovator Incubation Foundation (GIF) at NIT Srinagar, the scholarship aims to empower talented students by preparing them for leadership roles in STEM fields. The Greenovator team has partnered with Samagra Shiksha J&K to disseminate information and increase awareness about this transformative program.

Last year, an offline sensitization program conducted in Srinagar, in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education Kashmir and GIF's startup Move Beyond, resulted in the selection of four outstanding students from the region for the prestigious scholarship. Building on that success, this year’s outreach leverages the Samiksha App to ensure a larger and more diverse pool of applicants.

“The integration of the scholarship link on the Samiksha App will provide equitable access and help students across Jammu and Kashmir apply conveniently. It will ensure deserving students do not miss out on this unique opportunity,” said Dr. Saad Parvez, Project Head of GIF, NIT Srinagar.

Sheikh Inayat Ullah, Chief Consultant for the Global Youth Outreach and Employability Program (GYOEP), emphasized the importance of spreading awareness, stating that this initiative would pave the way for educational upliftment in the region.

The Directorate of Samagra Shiksha J&K, under the leadership of Administrative Officer Ashwini Kumar, has directed Chief Education Officers to ensure widespread dissemination of this information in schools. The goal is to identify and nurture talent from every corner of the region, encouraging eligible students to apply through the app.

How to Apply

Interested students can access the application form at https://forms.gle/mDnrJdsdFubq1ezr6. For additional details, stakeholders and students may contact Sheikh Inayat Ullah at +91-9419441430.

This collaboration signifies a step forward in bridging the gap between talented students and world-class educational opportunities, ensuring a brighter future for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
