All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025: Key Details Announced by NTA


 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the schedule and details for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025. This examination facilitates admissions into Class VI and Class IX of Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools across the country for the academic year 2025-26.

Examination Overview


Mode of Exam: Pen-and-paper-based using OMR sheets.

Paper Pattern: Multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

Exam Cities: Spread across 190 locations nationwide (details available in the information bulletin).


Eligibility Criteria


1. For Admission to Class VI:

Candidates must be between 10 and 12 years of age as of 31 March 2025.

Admission for girls is open in Class VI across all Sainik Schools.

Specific eligibility for newly approved Sainik Schools is detailed in the official bulletin.


2. For Admission to Class IX:


Candidates must be between 13 and 15 years of age as of 31 March 2025.

Applicants should have passed Class VIII from a recognized school by the time of admission.

Admission for girls in Class IX is subject to availability and follows the same age criteria as boys.

Application Fee


General/OBC (NCL)/Defence/Ex-servicemen: ₹800


SC/ST: ₹650

Fees can be paid online through debit/credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.

Start of Online Applications: 24 December 2024

Last Date for Submission of Applications: 13 January 2025 (till 5:00 PM)

Last Date for Fee Payment: 14 January 2025 (till 11:50 PM)
