The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced the recruitment of 669 Sub-Inspector (SI) posts for the J&K Police under Notification No. 02 of 2024, dated November 22, 2024.

Vacancies:
A total of 669 SI positions are available. Detailed category-wise distribution will be specified in the official notification.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Domicile:
Applicants must be domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir with a valid certificate.
2. Age Limit:
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 28 years (relaxation for reserved categories as per rules)
3. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a graduate degree. All certificates must be verified during the document verification phase.
Selection Process:
The recruitment process includes three stages:
1. Written Exam:
Objective-type questions in English
Negative marking: 0.25 for each incorrect answer
NCC certificate holders receive bonus marks (2% to 5% depending on grade)
2. Physical Standard Test (PST):
Male: Minimum height 5'6", chest 32" (unexpanded), 33.5" (expanded)
Female: Minimum height 5'2"
Relaxation: 2-inch height relaxation for Gorkha and Bot Tribe candidates
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET):
Male: 1600m race in 6.5 minutes, 20 push-ups
Female: 1000m race in 6.5 minutes, shot put (4 kg) 14.5 feet
