Srinagar; Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha distributed significant portfolios to the newly appointed ministers on Friday.
According to an official order obtained by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), under Rule 4 (2) of the Union Territory's Transaction of Business Rules (2019), the LG assigned various ministerial responsibilities.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary will oversee Public Works (R&B), Industries & Commerce, Mining, Labour, and Skill Development. Sakina Itoo was entrusted with Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare.
Javed Ahmed Rana was assigned Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, while Javid Ahmad Dar will manage Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election. Satish Sharma was given charge of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Youth Services & Sports, Science & Technology, Information Technology, and ARI & Trainings.
Any remaining departments not assigned will be managed accordingly.
