Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir – In a recent notification issued by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, applications are being invited for various contractual positions under the Watershed Development Component of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (WDC-PMKSY) 2.0. The positions, available in Kupwara district, include Watershed Development Team Members (WDT), Data Entry Operators (DEO), and Multitasking Staff (MTS).
The notification, dated October 10, 2024, outlines several key eligibility criteria and terms of engagement for the roles. Applicants must be permanent residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, and priority will be given to those domiciled in Kupwara. If suitable candidates are unavailable within Kupwara, applicants from adjacent districts will be considered.
Available Positions and Qualifications:
1. WDT (Agriculture and Allied Subjects):
01 post.
Required qualification: Graduation in Agriculture from a recognized institute.
Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications in relevant fields.
2. WDT (Social Mobilization):
01 post.
Required qualification: Master's degree in Social Work or Rural Development.
Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications in relevant fields.
3. Data Entry Operator (DEO):
01 post.
Required qualification: Graduation with a one-year diploma in Computer Applications or related fields.
Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications.
4. Multitasking Staff (MTS):
01 post.
Required qualification: Minimum 10th pass and maximum 12th pass.
Terms of Engagement:
Selected candidates will be paid a fixed remuneration, with Watershed Development Team Members (WDT) receiving ₹15,000 per month, Data Entry Operators (DEO) ₹9,375, and MTS staff compensated as per minimum wage norms. The age limit for engagement will follow the prevailing rules of Jammu & Kashmir.
The positions are strictly contractual, co-terminus with the project sanctioned under WDC-PMKSY 2.0. Applicants must furnish an affidavit attesting that they will not seek further continuation or permanent absorption into government services post-engagement.
Additionally, candidates must possess good moral character with no adverse police or vigilance records. An affidavit attested by a judicial magistrate will be required for this. The selected candidates may be terminated without prior notice if their performance is deemed unsatisfactory or if they indulge in any activity unbecoming of a government servant.
Selection Criteria:
The selection process will involve awarding marks based on basic qualifications, additional qualifications, and experience. For WDT positions, a maximum of 40 marks will be allotted for basic qualifications, 10 marks for additional qualifications, and 20 marks for experience. Data Entry Operators will be similarly evaluated based on qualifications and experience.
Applications must be submitted in person to the Project Manager’s Office, Kupwara within seven days of the notification date. Required documents include self-attested copies of degree certificates, mark sheets, and experience certificates.
