Srinagar, Oct 21: Jammu and Kashmir’s Education Minister, Sakina Itoo, announced that the government will consult all stakeholders before making a decision on restoring the academic session, which had been shifted from November-December to March in 2022. Speaking at the JK Science Congress 2024 in Srinagar, Itoo stressed the importance of collaborative decision-making to address the impact of past disruptions on the education system.
She assured that a comprehensive review will be conducted with educators, parents, and students, allowing their feedback to shape the final policy. “Today, I will chair a review meeting with officials from the education department to discuss this issue in depth,” she added.
Itoo’s approach reflects the government’s commitment to restoring stability in the education sector, following the changes introduced in recent years. Her efforts aim to balance both administrative needs and the best interests of the students across the region.
