Srinagar/Jammu, September 2024: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has issued Notification No. 114-BOPEE of 2024, detailing the schedule for the first round of physical counseling for admission into BAMS, BUMS, and BPT courses for the year 2024. The counseling is set to be conducted on September 24 and September 26, 2024, across government and private colleges in the Union Territory (UT) of J&K.
Counseling Details:
The counseling will be conducted in two phases:
1. September 24, 2024 (Tuesday): For candidates with NEET ranks from 0001 to 2500.
2. September 26, 2024 (Thursday): For candidates with NEET ranks from 2501 to 4825.
Candidates are required to physically report at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the respective dates for attendance and registration. The necessary documents for the counseling process include:
- Domicile certificate (UT of J&K or ST candidates from Ladakh).
- 12th class marks card.
- Valid category certificate, if applicable.
- Date of birth certificate.
- NEET 2024 scorecard.
- Any other documents requested by college authorities.
Counseling Fee and Process:
Candidates must deposit a counseling fee of ₹1500 via POS machines at BOPEE offices. Those who fail to submit the fee or attend in person can authorize a close relative with proper documentation (Aadhar Card and ID) to represent them. However, this is allowed only under unavoidable circumstances.
Once the counseling seats are exhausted, the process will automatically halt, and no further claims from waiting candidates will be entertained. Additionally, seats for BPT in Composite Regional Center (CRC), Srinagar, and Jammu College of Physiotherapy (JCP) will be filled during this round. The second round of counseling for the All-India Quota (15%) and private colleges will follow later, subject to further notifications.
