Confirmation of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff Announced by Directorate of School Education, Jammu


 

Jammu, September 21, 2024 – In accordance with Rule 22(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, the Directorate of School Education in Jammu has issued an official circular confirming the eligibility of teaching and non-teaching staff (Non-Gazetted Cadre) for confirmation in their current grades. The confirmation process is to be completed by or before March 31, 2024.


As per the circular, employees must meet the following key conditions for confirmation:

1. A minimum of two years of continuous service in their present grade.

2. Satisfactory Annual Performance Reports (APRs) for the last two years for teaching staff, along with favorable results or character roll remarks.

3. Non-teaching staff must also have satisfactory APRs and character roll records for the same period.

4. The employees must be serving in non-plan posts.

5. No pending legal cases, either in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) or any court of law.


The Directorate has instructed the relevant Drawing and Disbursing Officers to ensure that all confirmation entries are made in the service books of the staff after confirming the fulfillment of the specified conditions.


This move is seen as a critical step towards streamlining the administrative processes and ensuring that staff confirmations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.


Copy of the circular has been sent to the Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, and other key officials of Jammu Division for necessary action.
