Circular for Specially-Abled Candidates Issued by Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education

In a significant step towards supporting specially-abled students, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a circular addressing the needs of candidates with disabilities. The circular is targeted at students appearing in the SSE (Class 10), HSE Part I (Class 11), and HSE-II (Class 12) examinations for the 2024 Annual/Private and Bi-Annual sessions.

Candidates who have a benchmark disability of 40% or more and possess valid disability certificates issued by the competent authority but have not yet applied for the admissible pass percentage concession, have been urged to submit their cases before 25th September 2024.

The circular mandates that students must approach their respective Board Offices to consolidate their applications. The necessary documents for the submission include:

- A formal application for pass percentage concession

- An attested copy of the disability certificate

- Copies of the admit card

- Aadhaar Card

Furthermore, the Board has instructed the Heads of Board Offices to forward the applications to the Joint Secretary (Secrecy), JD/KD, for processing. All certificates must be verified and submitted for evaluation by the designated committee before being finalized.

Importantly, the circular stresses that no applications will be accepted after the declaration of results.

This initiative highlights the Board's continued efforts to ensure equitable opportunities for specially-abled students and provide necessary academic concessions.
