– The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, has issued a new order regarding the school timings for both government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division. According to Order No: 206-DSEK of 2024, the revised timings will come into effect from August 12, 2024.
New School Timings:
1. Schools within Srinagar Municipal Limits:
- Timing: 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM
2. Schools outside Municipal Limits of Srinagar District and other areas of Kashmir Province:
- Timing: 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM
All concerned institutions have been instructed to strictly adhere to the new timings. The Directorate has warned that any deviation from this order will be taken seriously and appropriate actions will be taken against violators.
The order has been issued under the authority of the Director of School Education, Kashmir, and has been communicated to various officials, including the Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, and the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir. The order has also been shared with the Deputy Commissioners and Chief Education Officers for ensuring strict implementation.
Further, the order has been circulated for wide publicity through print and electronic media to ensure awareness among the affected institutions and the general public.
This adjustment in school timings is part of the ongoing efforts by the Directorate to ensure a conducive learning environment for students across the region.
