— The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has officially released the schedule for the 1st Round of Physical Counseling for admission into the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) Lateral Entry course for 2024. According to the notification (No. 061-BOPEE of 2024), counseling will take place from August 5 to August 7, 2024, across multiple rank brackets.
The counseling schedule is as follows:
- August 5, 2024 (Monday): Candidates with ranks 01 to 400.
- August 6, 2024 (Tuesday): Candidates with ranks 401 to 950.
- August 7, 2024 (Wednesday): Candidates with ranks 951 to 1487.
All candidates, including those from reserved categories, are required to report physically at the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar between 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on their designated counseling dates. The required documents include domicile certificates, diploma/marks cards, valid category certificates (if applicable), and proof of birth.
Candidates must also bring a counseling fee of ₹1000, payable via debit/credit card or cash at the BOPEE office. Failure to attend the designated counseling session without a valid reason could result in the forfeiture of the candidate's chance to secure a seat. However, the Board may allow candidates to participate in the next day’s session provided they do not lay claim to any seat already allocated to a candidate of their merit rank.
The seat matrix will be available on the official BOPEE website prior to the counseling dates, and candidates are advised to review it carefully. The counseling process will be concluded as soon as all seats are filled.
