The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through its School Education Department, has issued a notification for the Online Transfer Drive for 2024. The drive is open to Teachers, Masters, Lecturers, Principals, Headmasters, and equivalent positions within the department, including Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) and equivalent roles.
Key Points of the Transfer Drive:
1. Eligibility and Application:
- Employees serving in various zones with a specified tenure must apply compulsorily, particularly those in Zone I & II with over three years of service.
- Those in other zones with shorter stays have the option to apply online if they meet the criteria.
- The application format is available on the School Education Department’s Portal (schedujammu.nic.in/atd).
2. Special Considerations:
- Employees on medical grounds or those with disabilities can apply for transfers within the same zone, with relevant documentation.
- Transfers on security grounds will require recommendations from relevant authorities.
- Employees in surplus categories and those appointed under SRO-202 who have completed their tenure are also required to apply.
3. Administrative and Rotation Policies:
- The Directorate will strictly enforce rotation within the zones based on academic needs, school enrollment, and staff tenure.
- Employees from District cadres may be rotated between zones depending on departmental needs.
- The Department reserves the right to transfer any employee as required, beyond the choices they opt for.
4. Submission and Processing:
- The submission window for online applications will be open from July 22, 2024, to August 25, 2024.
- Processing and completion of the transfer process will follow the guidelines outlined in the Transfer Policy.
5. Further Instructions:
- The Department emphasizes the need for accurate and truthful information in applications, warning that any false submissions could lead to rejection.
- The decision on transfer requests will be based on administrative measures, tenure, and vacancy availability.
