Jailed Kashmir MP Elect Er Rashid Allowed to Take Oath in Parliament with Restrictions
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has granted approval for Er Rashid, the MP-elect from Baramulla, north Kashmir, to take his oath in Parliament on July 5. According to ANI, this approval comes with the condition that Rashid will not engage with the media. The Patiala House Court is expected to issue an order on this matter on July 2. Rashid, who won against Omar Abdullah, the former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and NC Vice President, has requested interim bail or custody parole for the swearing-in ceremony.
