- The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced a significant recruitment drive for the J&K Police, Home Department, with 4002 constable positions available.
According to the advertisement notification No. 01 of 2024, eligible candidates are invited to submit online applications starting from July 30, 2024. The deadline for submission of applications is August 29, 2024.

The age criteria for applicants, as of January 1, 2024, are as follows:
- Open Merit (OM): 18 to 28 years
- Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST-1): 18 to 28 years
