In a significant move, the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, E-V Branch, has scheduled an urgent meeting to review the pension system. The meeting is set to take place on July 15, 2024, at 3:00 PM in Room No. 169-D, Fresco, North Block, New Delhi.
The meeting will be chaired by the Finance Secretary and will include representatives from the National Council (Joint Consultative Machinery). Shri Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary of the Staff Side (National Council), has been specifically requested to attend along with other representatives from the Staff Side. The committee aims to address and discuss the proposed changes and improvements in the pension system, ensuring that all participants' insights and feedback are considered.
The agenda for the meeting, as outlined in the letter dated April 6, 2023, underscores the government's commitment to refining the pension system to better serve the needs of its beneficiaries. The Ministry of Finance urges all invited representatives to confirm their attendance and submit the list of participants in advance.
This meeting marks a crucial step in the government's efforts to enhance the pension framework, reflecting its dedication to the welfare of its employees and pensioners.
