Advertisement Notice No. 04 of 2024 issued by the Office of the Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar regarding the filling up of vacancies for Class IVth posts (District Cadre) in the Courts of District Srinagar:
1. Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- For the posts of Process Server, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized Board.
- For the posts of Driver-II, Orderlies ,Sweeper ,Chowkidar, and Saifawala/Chowkidar, candidates must have passed the 10th (Matric) examination from any recognized Board.
- Additionally, for the post of Driver-II, candidates must possess a valid driving license (LMV/HMV) and provide a Medical Certificate confirming their fitness to drive.
- Domicile Requirement:
- Candidates should be residents of District Srinagar and possess a domicile certificate issued in accordance with the Notification by the General Administration Department of UT of J&K (vide S.O. 166 dated 18.05.2020).
- SC category candidates can apply regardless of their place of residence in UT of J&K, provided they are domiciled in UT of J&K.
2. Application Process:
- The application form for the aforementioned posts can be obtained from the Office of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar during office hours from 18th May 2024 to 8th June 2024.
- Alternatively, candidates can download the application form from the official website of District Court Srinagar:https://srinagar.dcourts.gov.in/
- If a candidate intends to apply for multiple posts, they should submit separate applications for each post.
- The duly filled application forms must be submitted in the Administrative Section of the Office of Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar, during office hours. No applications submitted after the cut-off date (i.e., 8th June 2024) will be accepted.
- Application forms submitted through any mode other than offline will not be accepted.
3. Required Documents:
- Application forms should be supported by self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Qualification/Marks Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculate)
- Domicile certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Driving Licence and Medical Certificate (for the post of Driver-II)
4. Application Fee:
- Candidates need to deposit a fee of Rs. 300/- (Three Hundred) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn from J&K Bank Ltd., favoring Principal District & Sessions Judge, Srinagar.
5. Mode of Selection:
- The assessment of candidates for the vacant posts of Orderlies, Sweeper, Chowkidar, and Safaiwala/Chowkidar will be based on:
- Merit in the qualifying examination (Matric) (80 marks)
- Interview/Viva Voce (20 marks)
- The final selection will be made based on the cumulative marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination (allocated out of 80 marks) and the interview performance (20 marks)
