Schools in Kashmir Division will remain closed Tomorrow: Divisional Commissioner

Srinagar:The divisional administration Kashmir verbally announced on Monday that all schools across the Valley will be closed tomorrow on 30,May 2024(Tuesday).

The decision comes in response to current weather conditions, with recent rainfall causing water levels to rise in local water bodies.

Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri stated that all Kashmir schools will remain closed tomorrow.

Notably, parts of Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall, while widespread rainfall over the past few days has led to flooding in many areas.

Weather conditions are expected to improve late tonight, with light rain forecasted for tomorrow. However, dry weather is predicted from May 1 to May 5.

Now officially DSEK has issued order that only class work will be suspended, teaching and non teaching staff had to attend their duties to monitor the situation and ensure assets of institution be safe.
