In a significant update for educational institutions, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has announced a change in school timings across the Kashmir Division. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir issued an order that will impact both Government and Recognized Private Schools starting April 12, 2024.
According to Order No: 126-DSEK OF 2024, schools within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 09:00 am to 03:00 pm. Meanwhile, schools located outside the Srinagar Municipal limits and in other areas of the Kashmir Province will see their day extend from 10:00 am to 04:00 pm.
This adjustment in school hours is expected to optimize the educational process and adapt to the specific needs of the region. The Directorate has emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the new schedule,warning that any deviation from the prescribed timings will be taken seriously.
Parents, students and school administrations are advised to take note of these changes and plan accordingly to ensure a smooth transition to the new routine.
