IGNOU Extended Admission,RR Deadline all programmes in ODL/Online for January session 2024


Don't let this opportunity slip away! The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the admission deadline for the January 2024 session. Interested candidates can now submit their applications for various programs until March 20, 2024. Discover the application process and further information below.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), largest University that provides online distance learning programs, has provided additional 10 days to apply for the January 2024 academic session. The new updated last date for submitting applications is now March 20, 2024, offering more time for students to enroll in the desired programmes.


Guidelines for submission of Online Application form:


New applicants click on link provided for online admission.

Students should download University's Common Prospectus, paying close attention to the University's rules as mentioned in the document.

For New registration:

- Click on 'NEW REGISTRATION' in the applicant login section.

- Enter the necessary registration details.

- Use your own email and mobile number for registration.

- Your chosen Username should be 8 to 16 characters.

- Your password should be alphanumeric and 8 to 16 characters long.

- Once all required fields are completed, click 'SUBMIT'.

- You will receive your username quickly via email and SMS.

-For future login remember your Username and Password.

-Existing users should simply click the 'LOGIN' button to proceed.


Before applying for Online Form Submission,ensure you have the following scanned items before starting the online form process:

- Photograph (under 100 KB)

- Signature (under 100 KB)

- Educational Qualification documents (under 200 KB)

- Experience Certificate, if applicable (under 200 KB)

- Category Certificate for SC/ST/OBC, if applicable (under 200 KB)


Payment Methods for the Fee:

- Credit Card (Master/Visa)

- Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)

- Net Banking

Guidelines for Registration Fee, Admission Cancellation, and Fee Refund:

At the time of admission, a non-refundable registration fee will be charged in addition to the first semester/year's programme fee.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

- Before admission confirmation: A full refund of the programme fee will be issued.

- After admission confirmation:

  - Within 15 days: The programme fee will be refunded with a deduction of ₹500.

  - From 16 to 90 days: The programme fee will be refunded with a deduction of ₹1000.

  - Beyond 90 days: No refunds will be processed.
