16,Teachers Missing After Deployment on Poll Duty


Rajouri, March 31:Sixteen employees from the School Education Department have gone missing after being deployed for election duty.


According to available information, two lecturers, one master, and thirteen teachers from the School Education Department were assigned to the Election Cell at the DC office in Rajouri. However, they failed to report for duty and remained absent without official permission.


In response to this situation, the Electoral Registration Officer and ACR Rajouri, Jahangir Ahmed Khan, relieved these erring officials from the Election Cell and instructed them to return to their respective schools for routine duties. Surprisingly even in their schools the lecturers, masters, and teachers did not fulfill their responsibilities.


CEO Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, issued a notice stating that the 16 employees who neither reported to the Election Cell nor attended their schools to teach children are still unaccounted for. The whereabouts of these missing officials remain unknown.


Following the DC's instructions, the CEO has issued a show cause notice to all 16 individuals, demanding their response within two days. Failure to provide a satisfactory reply may result in legal action against them.


The missing personnel include Lecturer Naheem Fatima from Higher Secondary School Pidi, Lecturer Yashpal Sharma from Higher Secondary School Prodi, Lecturer Sudesh Kumar from Higher Secondary School Dungi, Master Sajid Iqbal from High School Dhara Sanwala, Teacher Abdul Shakur from Primary School Barsala, Anshi Sudan from Middle School Dhangri, Jabina Akhtar from High School Potha, Shazia Kosar from Middle School Birthpuri, Asiya Rashid from Middle School Behrote, Zahida Akhtar from Primary School Dhara Pathana, Nahida Tabsoom from Middle School Rajouri, Sonal Vaid from Middle School Upper Color, Rahat Jabeen from Primary School Nabani, Shamim Akhtar from Primary School Neeli Dabi, Sumit Kumar (Junior Assistant) from High School Sawni, and Nargis Wahid from Middle School Upper Color.
